WHAT MEDIUMS DO YOU USE TO PRINT THE ART?

The recommended mediums are light-weight aluminum, canvas or artist quality paper (mounted, on board or unmounted (poster-style).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PURCHASE OR ACQUIRE THE ART??

The art is available at cost, i.e., the cost of printing and shipping which the buyer will incur directly in most cases. The cost will depend on the medium chosen and the size of the print, but most people are surprised at how affordable it is. For specific pricing questions please contact us.

IS THE ART AVAILABLE FOR DIGITAL DISPLAY? WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND COST?

Yes, digital display is a great option that allows for wide dissemination of the art without the challenges of a physical exhibit. Typically, there is no charge for digital use of the art, although notice and consent is required.

CAN I USE THE ART FOR THE COVER OR TO ACCOMPANY THE TEXT OF MY BOOK, REPORT OR OTHER PUBLICATION?

Yes, this is a great way to use the art. Please see Cover Art for examples of how others have used it for this purpose.

WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE, OTHER THAN THE INDICATED STANDARD SIZES?

Because the art is digital sizing is somewhat flexible. Art can be printed smaller and larger (though special processes may be required for extra-large prints.) Pieces derived from graphs need to be resized in proportion to the graphs, although borders can sometimes be created to fit into specific sizing requirements. There are more options for sizes and shapes with images derived from words or numbers.

IS THERE AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE ART WITH DATA FROM MY OWN RESEARCH OR THAT OF MY INSTITUTION?

HOW DO I GO ABOUT PLANNING AN EXHIBIT OF THE ART?

Please contact us to discuss the cost and logistics of launching an exhibit of the art. The art has been widely displayed in a variety of venues and we can usually figure out a way to make it practical and affordable.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE GRAPHIC DATA FROM WHICH THE ART IS DERIVED?

We seek out the most credible and appropriate sources of data, such as US and international governmental agencies and prominent environmental organizations. Because of the level of skepticism by some members of the public, we try and make sure our sources are non-partisan and scientifically respected.
