ACQUIRE THE ART or OTHER ITEMS

How to Acquire the Art - FAQs

Acquisition by schools, museums, governmental, environmental or non-profit organizations:

High resolution digital images of selected pieces will be provided at no charge. Printing costs will be incurred directly by the acquiring institution. For larger acquisitions Environmental Graphiti can facilitate the process of working with your fine art printers to achieve the best result.

Acquisition for private purposes:

High resolution digital images of selected pieces will be provided at no charge upon request. Printing costs will be incurred directly by the acquiring individual.

How to print the digital images:

If affordable, prints on light-weight aluminum are recommended for the most striking and dramatic results. Similar effects can be obtained from prints on high gloss artist paper (mounted on board) which cost about one-third of metal but will not be as durable. Prints on canvas are also very attractive, are typically priced approximately the same as metal, and tend to offer more sizing options for very large prints.

How to roughly estimate the cost to print the digital images:

Though printing costs vary depending on choice of printer, a standard size aluminum print (e.g., 30” x 30”) tends to cost around $300 mounted on an inset metal frame with a wire (ready to hang).  For a 40” x 30” size the cost would generally be around $375. To estimate a print cost multiply the number of square inches (e.g., a 30” x 30” piece would be 900 square inches) by $3.10 for metal prints. (Roughly assume $2.35 for canvas (wrapped but unframed) and $1.35 for artist paper mounted on board.)  Many of the images require custom sizing, which most fine art printers offer at minimal upcharges. Actual printing costs will be more or less than these estimates.

Shipping costs vary among printers as well, and should be investigated before deciding on a printer.

XL prints may be possible, but will depend on the resolution of the particular image and the choice of printer.

How to find a printer:

Look for a fine art printer and, if you decide to print on metal, it is highly recommended that you select a printer that uses the Chromaluxe method. Check out the ChromaLuxe website to find a printer near you:
